Clinical Mechanism:

The PRF technique (Choukroun et al. 2001) involves centrifugation of whole blood without anticoagulants. This process yields a fibrin clot rich in platelets and leukocytes, acting as a natural reservoir of growth factors (VEGF, PDGF, TGF-β). These are gradually released, accelerating bone and soft tissue healing in surgical sites.

The Face – Book

For the first time, the highly complex topographic-anatomical relationships of facial anatomy are depicted layer by layer using extremely detailed anatomical illustrations with a three-dimensional aspect. Important landmarks, anatomical details, and clinically relevant constellations of hard and soft tissues, as well as of nerves and blood vessels, have been detailed. Another important feature is that the point of view is maintained throughout while moving through the different layers of preparation. While the accompanying text and figure captions highlight specific issues, the images remain in the foreground. The elaborate illustrations are based mainly on live anatomy and corresponding images obtained from magnetic resonance imaging, with some support from anatomical preparations.

There have been significant advances in the use of botulinum toxin (botox) since the first edition of this book. Today, it has become the treatment of first choice in a variety of indications, including in neurology, pediatric medicine, dermatology, urology, and the treatment of pain. In this new edition, the key muscles that can be treated with botox are presented individually. A few muscles, such as the deep muscles of the neck, have been added. All these structures are grouped according to body region and illustrated with the aid of elaborate anatomical drawings. This edition takes into account new findings of recent years, especially the establishment of sonography as the most important tool for rapid orientation and safe injection; moreover, all the information and techniques from the previous edition have been reviewed and brought right up to date where necessary. The book is aimed principally at neurologists, dermatologists, ophthalmologists, and pediatricians, and represents a reliable and cutting-edge guide for all those who want to provide botox treatments speedily and safely.

Mesotherapy is a simple and effective method of esthetic treatment involving targeted microinjections of medicinal substances into the skin and connective tissues. This atlas offers an essential introduction to the practice of esthetic mesotherapy and arms clinicians with what they need to know to get started, such as descriptions of the active substances, injection techniques, side effects, and effective methods for consultation and case documentation. Treatment sequencing is detailed for the most common therapeutic applications, including skin rejuvenation (mesolift), preventive skin toning (mesoglow), treatment combined with injections of botulinum toxin (mesobotox), hair loss treatment (mesohair), cellulite treatment, treatment of local fat pads (lypolysis), and other dermatological indications. The clinical illustrations provide detailed step-by-step instruction, and the inclusion of case histories confirms the benefits and efficacy of this esthetic therapy.
